3vier helps you understand potential scams and decide what to do next. Your privacy is core to the product. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, how we use data, and your choices.

Key points

  • Scan contents are private per user by default. Household members (including the owner) cannot view another member’s scan contents or scan history.
  • We do not sell personal data. We do not show ads.
  • We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for stored data.
  • We aim to store the minimum scan data needed to provide the service. We store scan results (risk, confidence, reasons) and metadata; we do not intend to store full raw message text.

Scope

This policy covers the 3vier apps and services, including the website and the API. It does not cover third-party sites or services that may be linked from 3vier.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service, operate subscriptions, and secure accounts.

Account information

  • Email address and password (passwords are stored hashed).
  • Optional profile details you provide (e.g., display name).
  • Household membership and role (owner/parent/member).

Scan-related information

When you scan a message, 3vier produces a result to help you make a safer decision. By design, scan contents are private to the user who submitted them.

  • Stored: scan results such as risk level, confidence, reasons, recommended actions, and timestamps.
  • Stored: minimal metadata needed for scan history and product integrity (e.g., channel/language).
  • Not intended to be stored: full raw message text. If any text is stored, we aim to store only redacted snippets and/or non-reversible hashes.

Note: If you choose to share text with someone outside the app (e.g., copy/paste), that sharing is controlled by you.

Usage and diagnostics

  • Usage counters (e.g., scans used in your plan period) to enforce quotas and prevent abuse.
  • Basic diagnostics required to keep the service reliable (e.g., request IDs, timestamps, high-level error information).

Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play. We may also use a subscription management provider (e.g., RevenueCat) to manage entitlements across platforms.

  • We receive subscription status/entitlement information needed to unlock paid features.
  • We do not receive your full payment card details from the app stores.

How we use information

  • Provide scan results and explain risks and recommended actions.
  • Operate households and account features.
  • Enforce plan limits and quotas.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations (if applicable).

How we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share information only as needed to provide the service.

  • Service providers (processors): hosting, databases, logs/monitoring, and email delivery (if enabled). They are permitted to process data only on our instructions.
  • Subscription processors: Apple, Google, and (if used) RevenueCat for entitlement management.
  • Legal: if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of 3vier and users.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. This includes encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest for stored data, plus access controls and least-privilege practices.

No system can be 100% secure. If you believe your account is compromised, contact support immediately.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We aim to minimize retention of scan-related data, and we plan to provide clear deletion controls.

Your choices

  • You can control what you submit for scanning.
  • You can request account deletion (and associated data deletion) via support.

Children

3vier is designed for families and guardians. It is not intended for children under 13 to use without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.

International transfers

Depending on where you live, your information may be processed in other countries. We take steps to protect data when it is processed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will post an updated version and update the date above.
